Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, RAStech made it a priority to continue educating and connecting the recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) sector and aquaculture industry, through its virtual RAS Connector Series.

Forever changed by the impacts of the pandemic, day-by-day we begin to recover and look to adjust to this new ‘normal’. One thing that has stayed the same, is our need for human and face-to-face interaction; something we’ve been lacking in the  aquaculture industry, since early 2020.

However, with hope of recovery on the horizon, RAStech looks forward to giving industry peers, colleagues, and friends the opportunity to reconnect and learn live, during the in-person RASTECH 2022 Conference & Trade Fair, taking place on March 30 and 31, 2022 at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina, USA.

Sponsored by key industry players including Skretting, Oxygen Solutions, Optimal Aquafeed, AquaMaof Aquaculture Technologies, and Aquatic Equipment & Design, the RASTECH 2022 Conference & Trade Fair’s exhibit floor is already sold-out, and will see companies including AquaCare, Atlantium, Benchmark Genetics, Innovasea, OxyGuard, UltraAqua, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to safely visit company booths and speak to knowledgeable representatives about the products, technologies, and services, they’ve introduced since 2020, and what’s planned for 2022 and beyond.

For aquaculture farmers, growers, investors, engineers, contractors, consultants, and research and university professionals who are looking to expand their industry knowledge, the RASTECH 2022 conference will feature a number of sessions looking into the sector’s most important topics, including:

  • RAS feed and nutrition management
  • Aquaponics
  • RAS project updates and completions
  • Current RAS applications and possible future challenges (led by the Aquaculture Engineering Society, AES)
  • Product showcases
  • RAS fish health (led by USDA APHIS)
  • RAS start-up, strategies, and risk assessment
  • Engineering innovations (led by the Freshwater Institute)
  • RAS research and findings
  • Technologies for production enhancement
  • Achieving high-performance in RAS hatcheries
  • Biosecurity for RAS hatcheries
